Swede Hurt

When you think of Swede Hurt a few words come to mind: tall (very), blonde, funny, talented & constantly moving. That last one isn't just on the track though. Swede had played on both sides of the US and now plays in her home country of Sweden. From 2007-2008 she was a member of Jet City's Camaro Harem. Then 2008 to very early 2010 found her playing for Rat City's All Star team & the home team Sockit Wenches. But work forced her to move to New York where she quickly joined with the Gotham City Roller Derby playing for not only the home team Manhattan Mayhem but also their All-Star team going as far as getting 3rd place at the 2010 WFTDA Championships.

However due to an expired visa Swede had to return home but leaving the US wasn't going to stop her from playing derby. From January 2011 to October 2011 she was the coach & captain of the Crime City Rollers of Malmo, Sweden and led them to an undefeated season. She then was the head coach for Team Sweden at the inaugural Derby World Cup in Toronto, Canada leading her squad to a sixth place finish. Moving once again she now skates for Stockholm Roller Derby and plotting the takeover of derby in Europe. In addition Swede is a frequent guest coach at boot camps on the continent and was picked by the London RollerGirls to be part of their invitational European All-Star team.
