Chica Go Lightning

Chica first heard of roller derby through her husband after a day of filming a Rat City Rollergirls game. He came home and told her this was something she needed to do. She obsessively scoured the Rat City website and found a link to the training team PFM . In 2007 she strapped on her quads for the first time and never looked back.

After a brief time away from roller derby, Chica moved to Los Angeles and joined Angel City Derby Girls in 2009. She continues to skate for the Hollywood Scarlets, ACDG's Charter team, and is affectionally called by her team mates a "pint sized powerhouse". In 2011 she helped her team take 8th at the WFTDA Western Regional tournament.

In addition to her skating, Chica is head of training for Angel City and coaches the Rocket Queens, ACDG's B team.
